Alcohol awareness

This 3-hour interactive training programme will ensure you have the skills, knowledge and confidence to navigate conversations around alcohol and its harm, and signpost people affected by alcohol to appropriate help and support.

The session covers a range of topics exploring the impact of alcohol on individuals, families and society, and the support that is available.

What to expect

• An exploration of alcohol’s influence on individuals, families, and Scottish society
• The opportunity to discuss alcohol and its related harms
• Practical examples of what can help people who are struggling with alcohol problems and what services exist to support them

• Comprehensively describe alcohol and explain how it affects our bodies

This workshop is for anyone wanting to understand more about alcohol, its far-reaching impact, and signpost people affected to appropriate help.

It is ideal for people working in any role where alcohol knowledge would be helpful, such as caring and support services, housing, addictions, community-based support services, and similar.
